ESCARPMENT ROSE 2024

Summer berries, along with a lifted perfume and a crunchie freshness, are the hallmarks of this Rosé and are attributed to the use of 100% Pinot Noir. The palate is full of strawberries and cream but also crisp and dry, with a long finish and lively acidity. Made to be drunk young and perfect on a warm summers evening. Totally refreshing.

After many years of creating full-bodied Pinot Noir, we decided to craft a Rosé from this exemplary grape variety. A cooler growing season, driven by the La Nina weather pattern, has given us a bright and fresh Rosé. Select parcels of fruit have been wild fermented in old French oak barriques, to add texture and depth. Taking inspiration from the great Rose’s of Provence, the wine is a delicate light copper colour. The refreshing palate reveals crisp natural acidity along with a balanced finish, making it a perfect accompaniment to summer celebrations.
