ELEPHANT HILL STONE MERLOT 2020

The STONE wines are grown at our vineyard within the renowned Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing District. This inland sub-region is formed on deep beds of pure gravel and silt beside the Ngaruroro River. The rocky soils, which retain and radiate heat from the sun, ripens the classic red varieties well to produce mid-full bodied, richly flavoured, precise and well-structured wines with beautifully pure fruit characteristics.
