HOGSHEAD SHIRAZ 2022

Deep ruby-red, even colour throughout. The nose is full and robust, with blueberry stew, blackberry, vanilla, black forest cake and spice aromas. Medium-full bodied, aromas of blueberry and blackberry intermixed with cola nut, vanilla and spice. The mouthfeel is smooth with fine tannin dusting, reminiscent of dark chocolate black forest cake. Balanced acidity carries spice to a spiced finish. This old vine Shiraz shows a soft palate with generous ripe berries, black forest cake and spice. Match with barbeque meat and lamb burger over the next 3-4 years. Fermented to 14% alc, partially matured in Hogshead (330 litres) oak barrels.
